PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- City police have been busy since this weekend's snow storm, which at least one criminal used to their advantage. The Citgo gas station at 925 Washington St. was burglarized sometime during the weekend snowstorm, according to city police.
"The place was burglarized while the power was out and it is still under investigation," said Peekskill Police Spokesman Lt. Eric Johansen.
The burglary was reported at approximately 9:25 a.m. on Monday morning by the station owner, Johansen said. Police are not releasing information on how much money or what other items were stolen in the robbery.

On Tuesday night police responded to the Beach Shopping Center on Main Street at around 11 p.m. on a complaint of an emotionally disturbed woman walking near the CVS pharmacy. Police were told the woman was acting strangely and carrying a knife.
The woman was taken into custody and taken to the Westchester County Psychiatric Center. No charges were filed. No information about the woman was released by police due to the nature of the incident.
