MT. KISCO, N.Y. - Family and friends gathered at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home in Mt. Kisco Sunday to remember Anne Boylan-Molz, the New Castle resident who was found in a wooded area behind her home last week the day after her family reported her missing.
"She was such a kind, caring soul," said William Reynolds, who went to school with Boylan-Molz from 1961-70 at St. Francis of Assisi School in Mt. Kisco. "I was devastated to hear the news."
Boylan-Molz, 55, was born and raised in Mt. Kisco and graduated from JFK High School in 1974. She worked as a data entry clerk at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. She was found Tuesday Dec. 6, a day after she was reported missing by a family member. Her body was recovered by New Castle Police in a wooded area behind her house on Carol Drive.
While an investigation is ongoing, police believe her death was accidental.
It appears that she had fallen down a steep ravine and was unable to get out, Sgt. James Wilson said in a statement.
Nothing suspicious was reported by the Westchester County Medical Examiners Office, which performed an autopsy on Wednesday. A toxicology report is still pending.
