Freezing Rain, Ice Will Be Moving Into Putnam

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sun will give way to clouds, rain and possible accumulating ice in parts of Putnam County on Friday night and Saturday.

Rain will move into the area late Friday or early Saturday, mainly after 5 a.m. 

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Putnam County due to potential freezing rain and ice accumulation overnight into Saturday morning.

Temperatures will climb above freezing on Saturday, but rain will remain throughout the day. High temperatures will be around 43 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. 

Partly sunny skies will return on Sunday with a high in the mid-40s. 

The work week will begin with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures around 48 degrees.
