Pockets of freezing rain will be developing Monday evening, changing to rain overnight as temperature warm up well above freezing.
Very cold ground surfaces may allow ice to persist even a couple of hours after temperatures rise above freezing.
Untreated surfaces will become icy and slippery before the warmup with ice accumulations of a trace to less than one tenth of an inch.
A freezing rain advisory means freezing rain or freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads, slow down and use caution while driving.
Temperatures will then rise to around 45 degrees by about 2 a.m. Tuesday.
There is a chance of showers before 10 a.m. Tuesday. It will become mostly sunny during the early afternoon as the high temperatures soars to near 50.
Overnight lows Tuesday night into Wednesday will fall to just below freezing.
Wednesday will be a mostly sunny day with a high around 40.
The current outlook calls for a chance of snow before noon Thursday, followed by rain in the afternoon.
