FAIRFIELD, Conn. Franco Andres Daly died suddenly June 5 at his home in Fairfield. He was 60.
Daly was born April 18, 1952, in Trinidad, Cuba, to Franco Daly Sr. and Blanca Lopez. He moved to the United States at the age of 14 and lived in Bridgeport and Fairfield since. Daly was married to Miralys Eva Pedrayes Daly for 39 years.
He graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport and attended Fairfield University. Daly was a longtime member of the Liceo Cubano de Bridgeport, serving as president, treasurer and administrator.
Daly worked for ABM Services as project manager for buildings in Stamford and Norwalk. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his granddaughter, Evelyn.
He is survived by a daughter, Marley Daly Rosevear and husband David of Darien; a son, Franco Daly, of Bridgeport; a sister, Sylvana Daly Lopez, of Trinidad; and a granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Commerce Hill Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's, Heart or Cancer Associations. Donations can also be made to the Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre fund.
