PEEKSKILL, N.Y. Four candidates will be fighting for two seats on the Peekskill City School District's Board of Education, not two as previously reported.
In addition to incumbent trustee Marcela Bobe, who is seeking a another term, residents Colin Smith, Lisa Aspinall-Kellawon and Darryl Footmon are also running for the school board. Two seats up for grabs because school board Vice President Fran Feuerman is not seeking another term.
Only Bobe and Smith had submitted petitions as of the April 17 board meeting. Footmon and Aspinall-Kellawon submitted their petitions at the last minute, according to district clerk Debra McLeod.
"They turned in their petitions on the last day," McLeod said.
Residents will vote on the two seats and on the 2012-13 adopted budget May 15.
