Flood Watch Issued for Fairfield County

If you're planning on heading outside Monday, don't forget your umbrella and Wellies. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch that will remain in effect until late Monday night.

Heavy rain is expected through the morning, with periods of freezing rain. Thunderstorms are also possible Monday afternoon. The recent mild weather and rain on Friday could result in ice jams that cause flooding. Monday's total rainfall could be one to two inches, and temperatures are expected rise into the mid-40s.
