Carlos Rodriguez, 45, of Flemington, passed away on Sunday, March 1, according to his obituary from Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home. He had turned 45 on Feb. 27.
Rodriguez died suddenly in his sleep with no warning signs, according to a GoFundMe campaign organized by Ali Narvaez. Doctors suspect a brain aneurysm, Narvaez said. The fundraiser was created to help Jacqueline Narvaez, the mother of Rodriguez’s youngest child, cover funeral expenses and daily costs while caring for their 12-year-old daughter.
Rodriguez was born in New York City to Helene and Alvaro Rodriguez., his obituary reads, A proud New Yorker, he built a career as an IT director for Success Academics where he was known for his leadership and dedication, according to his obituary.
Above all, Rodriguez was devoted to his three children, Ryan Rodriguez, Jaysen Rodriguez, and Alexandria Rodriguez, who were “the center of his world,” according to his obituary. He took pride in their accomplishments and found his greatest joy in supporting and guiding them, his obituary reads.
“Jackie is doing her best to stay strong for her daughter, but the financial burden is overwhelming,” the fundraiser says. As of Wednesday, March 4, the campaign had raised more than $11,000.
