Flash Flood Warning extended for Peekskill

The National Weather Service has extended the flash flood warning for Peekskill and the rest of Westchester County until late Thursday night. At 12:19 p.m. the National Weather Service doplar radar indicated locally heavy rainfall in the area due to severe thunderstorms, with a second batch of heavy rainfall on the way that is expected to produce flash flooding. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to last into the evening, mainly before 10 p.m. Foggy conditions will be seen after 8 p.m. with a low temperature around 62 degrees and winds between 3 to 5 miles per hour.
