BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – Five Briarcliff High School students were recognized for being chosen to participate in the Columbia Science Honors Program.

Rebecca Weiss, David Gold, Jesse Goodman, Eric Wasserman and Aaron Rosen were presented with certificates at a Board of Education meeting on Monday.

The Columbia Science program is a competitive program that students must apply for. If chosen to participate, students work in laboratories with Columbia University scientists.

"This is a prestigious program," said Briarcliff High School Principal James Kaishian. "The science department has done a great job in terms of inspiring students."
