Fishkill Ceremony Honors The Mt. Beacon Eight

FISHKILL, N.Y. -- The Town of Fishkill War Memorial Park will host a ceremony in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Mt. Beacon Eight on Saturday, Nov. 14.

At approximately noon on Nov. 11, 1945, six Navy servicemen lost their lives when a Beechcraft Twin Engine Navy Transport crashed on Mt. Beacon.

The ceremony will also honor the two Navy servicemen who lost their lives in a 1935 crash on Mt. Beacon.

The ceremony begins at 1 p.m.
