MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.Early Sunday morning the men and women who took part in Americas 9/11 Foundations motorcycle ride, including a group of Mt. Kisco firefighters, will conclude their trip at the site of the World Trade Center.
The Annual Memorial Ride visits the three sites of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The Mt. Kisco firefighters going on the trip left on Wednesday, August 17 and made their way to Somerset, Pa. and the Flight 93 crash site where there was a remembrance presentation held on Thursday.
On Friday the group continued to Arlington, Va. and are scheduled to arrive at the Pentagon on Saturday where a presentation will take place.
The group should arrive in New York Saturday night, and according to its itinerary is scheduled to begin the ceremony at the site of the World Trade Center at 10am Sunday morning.
The Mt. Kisco firefighters on the tour brought along 50 American flags and the last one will be flown at the site of the new memorial monument according to Paul Felice, the co-chairman for the monument project.
The new monument will be unveiled on Sunday, September 11, 2011 during a special ceremony hosted by the Mt. Kisco Volunteer Fire Department.
At the dedication ceremony a helicopter will fly over the site during a moment of silence and the American flag that accompanied the firemen on their trip will fly over the monument.
