A stretch of Route 35 in Northern Westchester has been shut down following a residential structure fire on Thursday afternoon, April 16.

The closure affects both directions of Route 35 between North Salem Road/Route 121 and Old Shop Road in Lewisboro, according to 511NY traffic alerts.
All lanes of the two-lane roadway are currently blocked as emergency crews respond to the scene.
The incident began at approximately 1:40 p.m. and remained active as of the latest update at 1:42 p.m.
New York State Police confirmed they are investigating a house fire on Old Shop Road, which prompted the large emergency response in the area.
State Police urged motorists to avoid the area to allow emergency personnel to operate safely. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
There are unconfirmed scanner reports that residents were trapped inside the home.
Authorities have not yet released more details about the nature of the fire or whether any injuries have been reported.
