The blaze at Lefkes Estiatorio on Sylvan Avenue started in the basement at approximately 4:40 a.m., News 12 New Jersey reports.

Lefkes is a traditional and widely known Greek restaurant that turns into a nightclub after hours with DJs spinning tracks from around the world. The locale has become known for its white napkin parties, where guests throw napkins from the upper level as others dance in their seats.

Marketing guru Stan Manko writes: "We are so destroyed and sad about what happened early this morning. We do not have the exact information yet of how and why the fire started but this Local Gem of a restaurant is a Bergen County Treasure! We pray that no one got hurt and this situation can be fixed quickly."
