FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Fairfield University student was accused of having steroids and marijuana in his dormitory room and turned over to Fairfield Police, according to police reports.
The university’s public safety department told Fairfield Police that three vials of steroids, hypodermic needles, rolling papers and a small amount of marijuana were found in the student’s dorm room during a search Friday, according to the arrest report. The officers also found 100 Clomid pills, according to police reports. Clomid is a female anti-fertility drug commonly used to offset the side effects of steroids. It is listed as a banned substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Vincent Giacovas, 18, of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and failure to keep prescription drugs in their proper container. He was also issued an infraction for marijuana possession. He was released after posting a $250 bond and is due in court Dec. 13.
