FAIRFIELD, Conn. A personal trainer at a Fairfield gym was charged with sexual assault on one of his clients Thursday. Patrick T. Myers, 44, of Branford was accused of inappropriately touching a client after a session, police say.
The client told police that during her first session with Myers he made sexually explicit comments to her, according to the police report. After the session the two walked out to the parking lot at the same time, and he offered to show her his dog. As she was petting the animal Myers reached out and grabbed her in an intimate area, police say.
Myers' record shows a history of similar cases, police say. They say state judicial records show that Myers was convicted of a felony charge of risk of injury to a minor in a case that occurred in New Haven in 2001.
Investigators believe there may have been more recent victims. Fairfield Police ask anyone who may have information on other cases to contact the Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840.
Myers was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and a breach of the peace Thursday. His bond was set at $5,000, and he is due in court June 6.
