Fairfield Picks 'Titanic' for Townwide Read

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Public Library has set a course 100 years in the past for next year's One Book, One Town program. It's reading selection will be: “The Watch That Ends the Night: Voices From the Titanic,” written by Allan Wolf.

The book is a work of historical fiction based on the tragic voyage of the Titanic in April 1912. “This original and fascinating take on one of the most famous disasters in history is vivid, compassionate, intense and can be enjoyed by readers of all ages,” reads the library’s One Book, One Town Blog.

Copies are available now at the Fairfield Public Library’s two branches and the Pequot Library. The Fairfield University Bookstore will also have extra copies in stock. Starting in January the library will run programs tied to the book, culminating in a visit by Wolf on March 26.
