A motorist stopped at a red light on the Post Road was lighting a glass pipe when oops, a Fairfield officer pulled up next to her. The driver, Ashley Dicarlo, 27, of Bridgeport, was pulled over and arrested when the officer found marijuana in the pipe.
The arresting officer said he pulled up near Dicarlos car while she waited at the intersection of Post Road and North Benson Road at about 9:15 a.m. Monday. After seeing her light the pipe, he pulled her over. When he approached the car, the officer said he smelled burnt marijuana and asked Dicarlo what she was smoking.
Dicarlo handed over the glass pipe, which had traces of marijuana residue inside. The officer also found a bag containing traces of marijuana in the car. Dicarlo was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was released on a promise to appear in court June 3.
