Updated 2 p.m.: Snow and freezing rain was knocking out power all over Fairfield County Wednesday, with about 1,500 customers left in the dark in Norwalk.
Connecticut Light & Power's outage map showed a few hundred customers without power in Stamford. Sporadic outages also were reported in Darien, Greenwich, Wilton, Westport and Weston.
United Illuminating Company reported only 28 outages in Fairfield around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
