How far would you go to help your favorite cause? Would you let a police officer hurl rubber balls at you? Thats exactly what Fairfields Finest did last weekend. A team of nine officers headed up to Hartford to join 14 other agencies in a Dodgeball Tournament to benefit the families of their fallen colleagues.
Sgt. Bob Kalamaras, Detective Sgt. Ed Greene, Detectives Peter Koval and Bernard Kelley, and Officers Lisa Burbidge, Frank DiMarco, Mark Letsch, Michael Komm and Joseph Kalson represented Fairfield in the March 19 fundraiser. The money they collected from tickets and donations went to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, which supports families of police officers killed in the line of duty.
