Blueroot Health said Friday, April 10, it is expanding a voluntary recall of its Vital Nutrients Aller-C dietary supplements due to the potential presence of undeclared allergens.

The Connecticut-based company, located in Middletown, said the issue involves possible contamination with egg, hazelnut, and soy, which could pose a serious or life-threatening risk to people with allergies or severe sensitivities to those ingredients.

The expanded recall now includes all products manufactured from lot 25E04, in addition to previously identified lots 25E04-A and 25E04-B.

The supplements were distributed nationwide through VitalNutrients.co and other online retailers between September 2025 and March 2026.

The affected products are packaged in white plastic bottles containing 100 or 200 capsules, with lot numbers 25E04, 25E04-A, or 25E04-B and an expiration date of 05/27 printed on the label.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.

Blueroot Health said the issue was identified through routine internal testing and reported to the FDA.

Consumers are being urged to stop using the affected supplements immediately and return them to the company for a replacement.

Customers with questions may contact Blueroot Health’s customer support line during business hours for additional information.
