Eversource Repairs Power Outages In Darien

A new outage of 10 customers was reported in Brookfield as of 3:30 p.m., Eversource said. 

Eversource is continuing to work to restore power across Connecticut on Friday afternoon. Tens of thousands were left in the dark after a powerful storm early Thursday.

update: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Eversource has repaired the power outages in Stamford. Only one outage remained in Greenwich. 

update: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Eversource reports that the large power outage in Darien has been repaired. 

The outage in Newtown has also been repaired, but outages remained in Stamford and Greenwich as of 10:50 a.m.

original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Eversource was reporting power outages Wednesday morning in a few towns in Fairfield County, including a large outage along the Post Road in Darien that was affecting traffic lights. 

The following outages were reported as of 10 a.m Wednesday: 

  • Darien: 382 outages
  • Greenwich: 11 outages
  • Newtown: 24 outages
  • Stamford: 14 outages
It was not clear when the power would be restored.
