A GoFundMe for the family of Lawrenceville's Ethan Citron had raised $21,000 as of Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Citron is survived by his daughters, Brielle and Brianna. He was predeceased by his son, Chase, who died in 2022. Citron died in California and the fundraiser was established to help Brielle and Brianna transport him back to New Jersey.
"So he can be laid to rest near his family and friends," Maria Parrella, who organized the fundraiser, wrote. "Their world has been turned upside down by this heartbreaking loss. No words can truly capture the pain of losing a father so suddenly."
Citron was friends with former MTV VJ Matt Pinfield, who often posted photos of their travels together.
Pinfield paid tribute to him on Facebook after his passing.
"I have lost another one of my best friends," Pinfield said
As of Tuesday, Feb. 17, more than $16,760 has been raised.
