Englewood SID Surplus Means New Projects And Upgrades

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- A $350,000 Special Improvement District surplus is being eyed in Englewood to beautify the downtown and tackle lighting, reports northjersey.com.

The Englewood Economic Development Corporation needs the city's permission to buy new trees, switch over to LED lighting and redo the downtown landscaping, reports northjersey.com. 

Dead and dying trees in the Palisade Avenue business area need replacing and others are not appropriate for downtown spaces, reports northjersey.com. 

A tree replacement plan previously done calls for zelkova, elm, and honey locust species for municipal downtowns, reports northjersey.com.
