"Voters should remember that during last years budget deliberations there was much discussion about school salary adjustments. Although he disagreed with our numbers, Dan Gilbert was the only selectman to respectfully affirm the Board of Educations sole responsibility for deciding compensation.
Dan also strongly endorsed the proactive efforts by the Board of Education in offering one-time signing bonuses to encourage staff to move from traditional medical coverage to new HSAs, resulting in increased participation with substantial savings for the town. Dan was collegial and thoughtful. I am voting for Dan Gilbert on Nov. 8. I hope you will join me."
