Elisabeth Ackerman, a 34-year-old Ballston Lake resident, was accused of violating an order of protection by threatening to kill the protected person, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post. The alleged victim was not publicly identified.
Cops responded to an active domestic disturbance call on Ashdown Road around 9 p.m. Sunday night, March 8, according to the sheriff’s office. After investigating the incident, they arrested Ackerman. Further details from the scene were not released.
Ackerman was charged with one count of first-degree criminal contempt for violating the protection order, which carries a maximum four-year prison sentence, authorities said. She was also charged with second-degree harassment.
Following her arraignment in Clifton Park, Ackerman was released on her own recognizance. Her next court date was not announced.
