Born in Florence, SC to the late Ettiefine Cain, Effie has resided in Bridgeport for the past fifty-eight years. In addition to her parents, her husband William Davis, and three sons, Dennis Davis, Willie Cain and Phillip Davis predeceased her.
She is survived by a cousin, Eddie Joe Jackson of Bridgeport; five grandchildren, William Cain, Jr., of Orange, Tiffany Cain-Edmonds, Brandon Cain and Stacey Cain all of Virginia and Malisa Bush of Bridgeport; thirteen great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. at Morton's Mortuary, Inc. in Bridgeport with Pastor Marco Pulumbo officiating. Interment will take place Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. at Mt.
