Edgewater Sued By Developers Over Zoning Delay

EDGEWATER, N.J. -- A developer is suing Edgewater for default zoning approval stating officials missed deadlines for taking action on its application, according to northjersey.com.

A 10-25 story tower with 1,873 units on the former Hess site is proposed by the Maxal Group of New York City and EnviroFinance Group LLC of Denver, according to northjersey.com.

The waterfront project needs height, density, land use and other variances, according to northjersey.com.

The site at 615 River Road was purchased in 2014 and a development application filed in September, according to northjersey.com.
