UPDATE: All schools in Easton and Region 9 are closed Friday, and all activities for the day are canceled.
A storm threatens to drop 6 to 10 inches of snow in the area. An early dismissal was already on the schedule, but superintendent Michael Cicchetti said students could be let out even earlier. In the end, the schools were closed.
"We will make every effort to make this decision early and will notify (parents) promptly using the normal communication channels," Cicchetti stated in an email.
