EASTON, Conn. -- Derek Popp from Sport Hill Farm was busy watering rows and rows of pumpkin plants Wednesday in the hot sun at Samuel Staples Elementary School.
Wednesday hit a high near 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. At night, there is a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m. and isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. on Thursday, with a high near 88 degrees. Friday is predicted to have a high near 81 degrees with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.
