The Eastern Center for Arts and Technology was evacuated to the nearby Upper Moreland High School campus in Montgomery County as a precaution, according to an alert issued at 2:47 p.m.
All students and faculty members were safe, accounted for, and unharmed, officials said.
The Eastern campus was expected to remain closed for several hours while authorities conducted an investigation.
Officials did not immediately release details about the unauthorized person's identity, how they entered the school, or whether anyone had been taken into custody.
It was also unclear what prompted the discovery or whether the person posed a threat to students or staff.
