Overall, the state delivered $2.25 billion for economic development to 10 regional councils, including $1.5 billion split over the next five years among three first-prize winners, the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier and the Central regional councils, the newspaper said.
Hudson Valley council members said they were pleased with the results, despite not receiving one of the top allotments, added the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Many of the Dutchess County projects received more than $300,000, the newspaper added.
