Dutchess County Executive Memorializes Poughkeepsie Councilman

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. – Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro was just one of the many officials who paid tribute to Poughkeepsie City Councilman Tracy Hermann after his death on Thursday, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Hermann died of an apparent heart attack at the age of 52, the Journal said.

“He was a man who saw Poughkeepsie's potential and worked tirelessly to achieve it," Molinaro said in a statement, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Herrmann had served as the city's 8th Ward councilman since 2014, the Journal noted.
