Dalton Rifenburg was tapped by the Wadsworth Institute Summer 2016 Research Experience for Undergraduates program in Albany.

Out of 200 students who applied to the program, only 12 were chosen.

According to Dr. Pamela Edington, DCC's president, six of its students have been selected for the program since 2011.

“Dalton’s achievement is remarkable,” Edington said. “And the fact that he is the sixth DCC student to earn this honor in as many years reflects not only the aptitude of our students, but the dedication to student success demonstrated by our science faculty.”

The sophomore will work with scientists on a project dealing with genetics, biology or environmental sciences.
