FAIRFIELD, Conn. A Bridgeport man was charged with marijuana possession and intent to sell on Tuesday after a traffic stop. Police suspect the man was also selling cocaine in Fairfield.
Fairfield detectives received information about a man selling cocaine, and identified the suspect as Gabriel Kearse, 23, of Bridgeport. A search warrant at his home turned up marijuana, drug paraphernalia and additional items consistent with the sale of narcotics, according to the police report.
Kearse was stopped while driving in Fairfield on Tuesday and was arrested. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, and additional charges of intent to sell. He was also charged with possession near a school, as his residence is near Bridgeports Bassick High School. He was held on a $5,000 bond and is due in court on Wednesday, March 21.
