Driver's Sobriety Questioned After Crash

A car stopped for a red light at Seaside Avenue and East Main Street at about 4 p.m. Monday was hit from behind, according to police. The driver of the offending car was Victor Morales, 48, of Ludlow Street, Stamford. After arriving, police suspected Morales was under the influence. However, he refused to take a sobriety test.

Morales was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, following too closely, interfering with an officer/resisting and illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was given an Oct. 12 court date. No accident-related injuries were reported.
