Driver Zigs, Zags, Hits Wall

A young Wilton driver had a difficult time keeping his car on the road Thursday afternoon. Harrison Rappaport, 17, of 53 Grey Rocks Road was driving on Sharp Hill Road when his vehicle swerved to the right, almost hitting a jogger, police reported. To avoid the runner, he turned sharply to the left, crossing the center line and sideswiping another vehicle. Police said his car came to a stop when it hit a stonewall. The teen was injured and taken to Norwalk Hospital, the police report said. The case is still under investigation. The driver of the other vehicle, Michael Amato, 46, of 15 Lee Allen Road, Wilton, was not injured.
