The crash happened in Tivoli at the intersection of Route 9G and Broadway on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at around 1:05 p.m., according to the Red Hook Police Department.

Police said they found that a 71-year-old Prattsville man driving a 2016 GMC truck was crossing Route 9G westbound when his vehicle was struck on the driver's side by a northbound 2022 Acura. The Acura, driven by a 61-year-old Tivoli woman, failed to stop at a steady red light before entering the intersection and causing the collision, the department added.

EMS evaluated both drivers at the scene, and they declined further medical treatment.

The Acura driver, whose name was not released, was issued a traffic ticket for failing to stop at a red light.
