The incident happened around 1:35 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the intersection of Route 139 and Brick Hill Road in Somers, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.
Fire officials said units arrived to find a single car overturned with the driver trapped inside. Firefighters and Somers EMS personnel worked quickly to extricate the driver from the wreckage.
The patient was evaluated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital for further treatment. Details on the extent of injuries were not released.
The road was closed for about an hour while crews worked and until the vehicle could be removed. All Somers Fire Department units were back in service shortly afterward.
