Dr. B's of the Stamford American Little League and PAL of Stamford Federal advanced to the final game in the District 1 Little League Tournament of Champions with one-run victories Thursday night. The teams will meet Sunday at 2 p.m. at Scalzi Park for the Tournament of Champions title.
Dr. B's, which is managed by Doug Romano, advanced with a 6-5 victory over Springdale. PAL, which is managed by Terry Considine, posted a 1-0, 10-inning victory over North Stamford. The tournament matches champions from leagues throughout Stamford.
