Downed Tree Knocks Out Power In Yonkers

YONKERS, N. Y. -- No one was injured but power was lost for several hours early Friday when a tree came crashing down in the middle of Frederic Street in Yonkers, News 12 Hudson Valley reported.

The tree fell around 1 a.m. and struck a car while knocking out power to about 54 households between Sommerville Place and Frederic Place. No bad weather was reported in the area, News 12 reported.

No structures were damaged, and power was restored around 5 a.m., News 12 reported.
