On Thursday, March 19, Anthony White, a 35-year-old Trenton resident, was reported missing, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta Marbrey and Trenton Police Director Steve Wilson said. On Wednesday, April 1, police responded to a vacant residence at 409 Walnut Ave. where White was found dead, authorities said.
An autopsy conducted by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the death was a homicide caused by blunt impact injuries and strangulation, authorities said.
Donnell Carmichael is charged with murder in the first degree and surrendered himself to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, July 1, authorities said. He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center, authorities said.
