LAGRANGE, N.Y. -- Donald L. Hicks, of Lagrange, died on Tuesday, March 22. He was 83.
Born in Poughkeepsie, Hicks was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He owned Don Hicks Mobil, in Poughkeepsie. He enjoyed working on and collecting cars.
Hicks is survived by his children, Donald Hicks of Poughkeepsie, and Judy and her husband Kevin Temple of Lagrange; grandaughters Laura, Melessia, Alyssa and Emilie; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen (Hakanson) Hicks; parents, Nelson and Anna (Smith) Hicks; and two brother and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 28, at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave., in Poughkeepsie. Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, in Poughkeepsie, is assisting with arrangements.
