STAMFORD, Conn. Dominick Michael Melillo of Old Lyme died Sept. 24 at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven. He was born on July 15, 1935, in Stamford.
A retired letter carrier, Melillo had many interests, including his Catholic faith, art and antiques, baseball and computers. He was also a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Melillo is survived by his wife, Carmenza Amarillo Melillo; five daughters, Anna Bickford and her husband, Daniel, Christine Melillo-Rabasco and her husband, Michael, Angela Melillo-Obuchowksi and her husband, Brien, Frances Kimbell and her husband, David, and Patricia Melillo; his sister, Marylou Ferrante; and his granddaughter.
A Mass will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church, McCurdy Road, Old Lyme. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Melillo's name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn.
