This year, Dr. and Mrs. Richard Santucci of Bergen Family Chiropractic and Dr. Gary Munk, director of clinical virology at Hackensack University Medical Center, are being honored at the 5 p.m. event.

Santucci, affectionately known as “Doc,” is a pioneer in the chiropractic field. Early in his practice, he recognized the large number of lower back injuries from improper lifting and job training and pioneered a pre-employment program that prevents injuries and lowers workers’ compensation premiums. He is former professor of advanced chiropractic analysis and technique at the New York Chiropractic College.

He owns and manages the Bergen Family Chiropractic Center on Main Street.

Linda Mariniello Santucci was executive director of the Northern New Jersey Chiropractic Society for 10 years before opening the Endermologie Center of Bergen County. She is chairwoman of the chamber's membership/marketing committee, a board member and launched the education committee. In 2009, she became the first woman president of the chamber.

Munk has been director of clinical virology at Hackensack University Medical Center for more than 25 years. He engages in prevention, diagnosis, clinical trials, consultation, and education. He also serves as an adjunct assistant professor of medicine at the Rutgers New Jersey School of Medicine.
