At 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired at Bergenline Avenue and 44th Street and located David Pulgarin with gunshot wounds, Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello said.
He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after 2:30 a.m, Mello said.
The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, Mello said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, Mello said.
