NORWALK, Conn. A South Norwalk resident found several decapitated chickens in his yard Friday evening, Norwalk Police say. Investigating officers also found a decapitated gaming rooster near the resident's home.
The resident of 297 Ely Ave. was concerned about his children playing in the yard and had disposed of the chicken and roosters before police arrived in response to the 6 p.m. call, Sgt. Dave O'Connor said. An Animal Control Officer walked into the Roodner Court Housing Compex and found a decapitated rooster about 50 feet from where the other ones had been, on the other side of a fence. It's neck and legs were shaved, which police say indicates it was a gaming rooster.
