HACKENSACK, N.J. -- David Peter Scarpulla, 33, of Hackensack, died Sept. 17.
He was born in Hackensack, lived in Garfield 32 years ago and moved to Whiting last year. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Garfield.
He is survived by his parents, Frank and Giovanna Scarpulla; grandmother, Nella Scaltro; and brother, Steven Scarpulla (girlfriend Carola Marquez).
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Francesco Scaltro and Pietro and Giuseppina Scarpulla.
Visiting will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield. The funeral will be Friday, arriving at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 188 MacArthur Ave., Garfield. Interment will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.
