DARIEN, Conn. You can give the gift of music this holiday season. The Darien High School music honor society, Tri-M, is holding an instrument drive for the next two weeks for the nonprofit group Horns for Kids.
Students will be collecting all types of new and used instruments for the charity, which will refurbish and distribute the instruments for public schools throughout Connecticut. Instruments will be collected at the high school band room before school, at the Middlesex Middle School rotunda starting Dec. 19 and at the Darien Sport Shop on Dec. 17 and 18, at which time music groups from Darien High School will perform.
Instrument donations are tax deductible, and tax forms will be available at instrument collection sites.
If you have any questions, contact Darien High junior Jeffrey Sload at [email protected].
