The Darien chapter of SADD, or Students Against Destructive Decisions, is a great group of high school kids who meet at the Depot. SADD is a peer-to-peer education, prevention and activism organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking, drug use, smoking, risky and impaired driving, teen violence and teen suicide. The group held a successful Safety Fair at Darien High School this past week with an emphasis on the dangers of drinking and driving as well as texting and driving. This well-run and well-attended program is one of many it does throughout the year.
